What are your goals professionally-speaking?
To win it all. We have to work hard, but what matters is trying. We have to win at least two titles. There are a lot of good teams out there, but Madrid is Madrid and it must return to the top. We have the talent to fight for every title.

Is the Champions League the most appealing?
I want to win it all, including the Copa del Rey, which neither Iker nor Raul have won but deserve. That said, winning the Champions League in the Bernabeu would be incredible.

Do you dare promise one title this season?
I cannot promise anything, but I can assure you I will give it my best shot.

Do you think you have a chance of playing for the Netherlands in the World Cup?
Why not? The World Cup is a real possibility if I continue playing like this.

What can you say about Raul?
He’s number one. He is my captain. He has always been nice to me. I won’t tell you what he says to me, but he is a little crazy. And I say that will all the affection in the world. I find him very happy this season.

And how has Casillas behaved during the difficult times?
Iker is a little crazier than Raul. He calls me Malaguita, and now everyone calls me that. I don’t mind though, he’ll pay for it one day (laughs). Seriously though, it is important that my teammates are happy with me by their side.

I am the same Royston Drenthe as always, but I am very happy here. It’s a little bit of everything I guess, not just the last five matches. I have a feeling that this is my season. I want to show people who Royston Drenthe is and that I can be successful here.

You appear to have a strong bond with the club and the city of Madrid.
I love Madrid. A friend just called me from Holland to complain about the bad weather there. And here it is 35ºC out. Madrid is a great city. My family likes it here and I will do my best to make sure we stay for a long time.

Did your age play a part in providing another chance?
I am only 22 and few people my age can say they play for Real Madrid. It motivates me every day. I am very fortunate and want to seize every moment I have. I want my two daughters, my girlfriend and my family to be proud of me. I want to thank the club from the field of play because it has always been good to me.

Have you met Florentino Perez?
Yes, I met him in the dressing room. He was very nice. He is elegant and kind and I respect and admire him. He has done a lot of good for Real Madrid. He has shown that he loves this club. He always signs great players.

Had you ever imagined sharing team with Cristiano, Kaka, Benzema...?
It was made possible thanks to Florentino Perez. They are three incredible players. We have a team capable of winning everything.

What’s your opinion on Cristiano?
He’s been ill, so fortunately he’s been quiet for a while... (laughs). He’s phenomenal. He’s happy and friendly. He’s always smiling and joking, and on the pitch he’s an incredible player. He works a lot. He’s an impressive signing.

Is he one of the players Real Madrid needed to win the decisive games last season?
I think Messi and Ronaldo are the best players in the world. He is a game breaker.

Isn’t Kaka at that same level?
Yes, Kaka too. He is an impressive player. When I was younger and I played on Playstation I always selected to play with Kaka and Ronaldo. They were the best and I loved playing with them. Who knows how many goals I scored with Kaka on the Playstation. Seriously, he will help me to improve my game.

What do you think about the situation created around the Dutch players in the team?
It’s a difficult situation for me and I hope it turns out for the best because they’re my friends. They are all working hard to stay at the Club.

Would you recommend keeping Sneijder and Robben?
I hope they stay because they are two great players. Whatever happens, I hope they are happy.

How is Van Nistelooy getting on?
He’s fine. He’s already training with us. It’s the best of news for Real Madrid. I think he will be one important signing. Ruud must stay at the Club because once he’s back he will be netting goal after goal.

assez bien j'ai ete tres bien recu je suis bien avec eux certain me connaissaient deja ces premier jour ont ete tres positif

c'est diferent ya encore deu semaines pour commencer la liga barcelone n'a pas beaucoup changer le groupe est former nous avons une bonne base mais il faut travailler les automatisme

sa depend le jeu changera en fonctuion des circonstance se qui est important c'est de jouer avec de joueur avec des caracteristique differente et s'addapter au jeu en fopncyion de la rencontre nous pouvons nous adapter au jeu de l'adversaire

vous avez jouer a liverpool une des meilleur equipe en europe vous savez comment les grande equipes sont exigeante penses-vous que le real madrid pourrait finir par remporter la triplet cette saison ?
nous ne devrion pas nous obseder avec le tripler nous devrion aller lentement vous devez savoir que les titres se gagnent à la fin de la saison nous devons faire un bon depard et ensuite s'attaquer a la c1 tenter de progresser et ne pas etre obseder par les titre

Dans le vestiaire tout le monde est très content. Quand je rentre, tout le monde est très heureux de me voir. J'ai quelque chose qui plait à tout le monde. Je ne sais pas ce que c'est, mais je suis très apprécié de mes coéquipiers. Je suis toujours d'humeur joyeuse et je plaisante beaucoup. Mais quand il faut travailler, je suis toujours sérieux.
