Comme je suis fan du jeu et des productions du studio en général, j'ai écrit à Lionhead... qui m'a répondu !

Je vous transmets notre échange, ils répondent très clairement à ma question : il n'y aura pas (jamais ?) de suite ni de reboot. Trop triste, surtout quand le jeu ne tourne pas sur les OS récents.

First of all, please excuse my english.

You may already know that there is a strong and very active fanbase for the game The Movies. To be sure about it, you just have to take a look at the fansites and their forums, you'll find a small dedicated and unswerving players that still have a lot of fun with it, 10 years after the release ! (Whenever it is possible to run it on newer pc of course :/ )

The game is truly great, one of his kind, and very addictive, like most of your studio's games.

Though we know this licence is not your very first priority, we still wonder why you are not working yet on a sequel, and if you try a quick survey online, you'll see that we are still waiting for any update about the game.

So is there any reason to hope that the game has a future ?

Thanks for taking the time to contact us and for being a fable fan.

I’m afraid although The Movies was developed by Lionhead, it was published by Activision. Therefore, due to various legal reasons, we will not be looking to revisit the title at this time.

Dans ce cas la ils ont cas libérer leur outils de création, afin de pouvoir nous même optimiser d'avantage The Movies. Surtout pour pouvoir ajouter de nouvelle animation, je dis ça car je fait partie des personnes qui font du modding pour ce jeux,mais malgré tout les mods ce qui manque cruellement a The movies ce sont des animations.

Dommage, c'est juste énorme comme jeu surtout avec l'extension qui permet une caméra libre.
