D'accord madame Irma !

I Made this post elsewhere but it stands for your comments too.
All Development from scratch starts of extremely slow (CIG had to rebuild a engine to suit there needs for heaven sake). Now lets Look at how many years it has taken to Develop Stanton (hint its still being developed/updated)
Pyro has taken half the time to be as feature complete as Stanton but again still not complete as the standards shown in today video will not have been reached yet.
But the tech used is still not mature or final
The tech shown today looks to be close to the expectations/standards CIG wants from its procedural worlds. More Biomes, better Biome placements, , seasons & proper weather dynamics, Denser world in both Vegetation/Fauna & POI/Civilizations. Hell they even gave an example of improved tile placement so you don't see the "join lines" - this is reinforced when you Consider CIG are now talking about the "road to 1.0"
Now this tech upgrades means developers are forced to revisit old systems to bring them up to the new standard. Now think about it If CIG had the the resources and built 20 systems by now that would require a huge amount of effort to bring them 20 systems up to the standards shown in today's videos.
Luckily enough CIG couldnt as they required to work on there Core tech which people seem to be quick in forgetting isn't a easy job to do and been a long bumpy road due to the cryengine not being suitable for the task.
Item 2.0?
Object Streaming? (3.30 2018)
Network Bind Culling (3.30 2018)
Network OCS Stall Fixes (3.5 2019)
Client to Server Actor Networking Rework (3.6 2019)
Harvestable Entity Spawning (3.6 2019)
Server-side Object Container Streaming (3.8 2019)
Planet tech V4 (3.8 2019)
Rivers tech
Persistent Entity Streaming
Gen 12 Renderer
Vulkan Renderer
Server Meshing
all the above are tech what has been implemented in the past 6 years because they take a lot of time and resources to do but this is specialized tech for the star engine engineers,
majority of the programmers, art, graphics designers cant support in this so they were utilized in the single player side in the meantime hench the drought in the late 2.X/Early 3. Era
Now we are getting close to the point where the tech has matured that a entire system could potentially be made within a week by 1 person. (Excluding major hubs/cities)
So from Stanton what is still in development 10+ years on to potentially making a whole system in a week?
Now before people start going o then why have they only announced two more systems and still only 1 has been released. again this goes back to the core tech Server meshing.
Without the server meshing we wouldn't of had Pyro or any other new system, so again why develop said systems two years ago if thew tech to handle them wasn't ready? and then they are also be made to a below standard and would of had to been revisited reworked.... costing more money & time.. Sounds Like it would be smarter to hold of making the systems until ... server meshing is done & the planet tech .. matures wait that is exactly what CIG is doing and where we are right NOW.
+ Bonus Squadron 42 is feature complete, and what did we experience last year? prob the bigger jump in Assets in SC in any of its years/history. Because the art team programmers are now back on board. So POI, biomes, to Cities/Hubs to even ships will start seeing more resources allocated to them and start flowing a lot quicker.
